National Yoga Awareness Month

September is National Yoga Awareness Month! The month was created in order to promote the health benefits of regularly practicing yoga and to inspire a healthy lifestyle. According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), many individuals practice yoga to maintain their health and well-being, improve physical fitness, relieve stress, and enhance their quality of life.

In celebration of National Yoga Awareness Month, we want to celebrate by letting our wonderful residents know about local yoga studios! 

First, is [solidcore]! A 50-minute, full-body, strength training workout. An immersive experience, a workout like no other! This class is designed to make clients stronger and more resilient- physically and mentally. There are multiple classes offered including foundations, full body, arms + abs, buns + guns, buns + abs, and core30. Located at 1255 23rd Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20037

The second studio we want to highlight is Corepower Yoga! Live your power! Find the classes and teachers that inspire and 

empower you. Memberships are also available to purchase! Located at 1773 Columbia Road NW, Washington, DC 20009.
